FloW Mauritius is committed to fair and transparent refund practices in accordance with consumer protection principles under Mauritian law. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for ticket cancellations, refunds, and transfers for FloW Her Power 2026.

This policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

1. Attendee-Initiated Cancellations

1.1 Full Refund Period (More than 30 days before Event)

Deadline: Before February 6, 2026 at 11:59 PM (Mauritius time)

  • Refund Amount: Full ticket price minus MUR 500 administrative processing fee
  • Processing Time: Refund processed within 14 business days of approval
  • Refund Method: Original payment method (MCB Juice or my.t money)
  • How to Request: Email info@flowevents.mu with your ticket confirmation number and reason for cancellation

1.2 Partial Refund Period (15-30 days before Event)

Period: February 6, 2026 - February 21, 2026

  • Refund Amount: 50% of the ticket price paid
  • Processing Time: Refund processed within 14 business days of approval
  • Alternative Option: Transfer ticket to another person (subject to approval and MUR 200 transfer fee)
  • How to Request: Email cancellation request with ticket details and preference (refund or transfer)

1.3 No Refund Period (Less than 15 days before Event)

Period: After February 21, 2026

  • Refund: No refund available
  • Ticket Transfer: Permitted with written approval from FloW Mauritius
  • Transfer Fee: MUR 500
  • Rationale: At this point, catering, materials, and venue commitments are finalized and non-refundable

2. Organizer-Initiated Cancellation or Postponement

2.1 Event Cancellation by FloW Mauritius

If FloW Mauritius cancels the Event for any reason (other than Force Majeure - see section 4):

  • Refund Amount: 100% full refund of ticket price (no administrative fee deduction)
  • Processing Time: Refund processed within 14 business days of cancellation announcement
  • Notification: You will be notified via email to your registered address
  • Liability: FloW Mauritius is not liable for travel, accommodation, or other incidental expenses

2.2 Event Postponement or Rescheduling

If the Event date is changed:

  • Ticket Validity: Your ticket remains valid for the rescheduled date
  • Refund Option: If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a full refund within 7 days of the postponement announcement
  • Refund Deadline: Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days; no refunds after this period
  • Processing Time: Approved refunds processed within 14 business days

2.3 Significant Program Changes

If Kavyal Sedanni (the keynote speaker) is unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances:

  • We will notify all attendees immediately
  • You may request a full refund within 7 days of notification
  • Alternatively, we may offer a replacement speaker of equivalent caliber (your ticket remains valid unless you request a refund within the 7-day window)

3. Refund Request Procedure

To request a refund or ticket transfer, follow these steps:

  1. Submit Request in Writing:

    Email info@flowevents.mu with subject line: "Refund Request - [Your Name] - [Ticket Number]"

  2. Include Required Information:
    • Full name (as registered)
    • Ticket confirmation number
    • Email address used for registration
    • Payment transaction reference (MCB Juice or my.t money)
    • Reason for cancellation (optional but appreciated)
    • Preferred refund method (original payment method)
  3. Await Confirmation:

    You will receive an acknowledgment email within 2 business days

  4. Refund Processing:

    Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days. You will receive a confirmation email when the refund is initiated.

  5. Refund Receipt:

    Depending on your payment provider (MCB Juice or my.t money), the refund may take an additional 3-7 business days to appear in your account

4. Force Majeure & Exceptional Circumstances

In the event of Force Majeure (circumstances beyond FloW Mauritius' reasonable control), including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters (cyclones, floods, earthquakes)
  • Pandemics, epidemics, or public health emergencies
  • Acts of terrorism, war, or civil unrest
  • Government-imposed restrictions or venue closures
  • Catastrophic venue damage or infrastructure failure

Force Majeure Refund Policy:

  • Option 1: Full refund of ticket price (100%) processed within 30 days
  • Option 2: Ticket credit valid for rescheduled event date or future FloW Mauritius events within 12 months
  • Option 3: Transfer ticket to another attendee (no fee)

FloW Mauritius will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the Event. We will communicate all options via email and provide a 14-day window for you to select your preference.

5. Ticket Transfers

If you cannot attend but wish to transfer your ticket to another person:

5.1 Transfer Eligibility

  • Regular Tickets: Freely transferable with FloW Mauritius approval
  • Premium Tickets: Transfers permitted but subject to stricter approval (VIP benefits are non-transferable without verification)

5.2 Transfer Fees

  • More than 30 days before Event: Free transfer
  • 15-30 days before Event: MUR 200 transfer fee
  • Less than 15 days before Event: MUR 500 transfer fee

5.3 Transfer Procedure

  1. Email info@flowevents.mu with "Ticket Transfer Request" in the subject line
  2. Provide your ticket details and the new attendee's full information (name, email, phone)
  3. Pay the applicable transfer fee (if any) via MCB Juice or my.t money
  4. Receive confirmation email with updated ticket in the new attendee's name

6. Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will NOT be provided in the following circumstances:

  • Failure to attend the Event without prior cancellation (no-show)
  • Partial attendance (leaving early or arriving late)
  • Dissatisfaction with Event content, speakers, or organization (subjective opinion)
  • Personal scheduling conflicts, travel issues, or last-minute changes in plans
  • Removal from the Event due to Code of Conduct violations
  • Refund requests submitted after the Event date
  • Requests made outside the specified refund windows

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unforeseen personal circumstances that may prevent attendance.

7. Consumer Protection Rights (Mauritius)

Under Mauritian consumer protection principles, you have the right to:

  • Clear Information: Receive accurate information about the Event, pricing, and refund terms
  • Fair Treatment: Be treated fairly and not be subject to misleading or deceptive practices
  • Redress: Seek remedy if the Event is not delivered as described or if your consumer rights are violated

Complaints & Disputes:

If you believe your refund request has been unfairly denied or you have a complaint about our refund process:

  1. Contact FloW Mauritius directly at info@flowevents.mu to resolve the issue informally
  2. If unresolved, you may escalate to the Ministry of Commerce and Consumer Protection of Mauritius
  3. Legal recourse is available through the courts of Mauritius as per our Terms and Conditions
